Injector Pump, Steering Cylinder

I have a 1650D Oliver with a Stanadyne Injector Pump, Model DBGFC633-21DH. The only problem I'm having with it is the shut off mechanism. All exterior parts are tight and the shaft going into the injector pump is working when you pull the shut off cable. Is this fixable without sending it off and having the whole pump rebuilt or will it have to be rebuilt. I had several parts places say this type pump cant be rebuilt. Also im rebuilding the steering cylinder. I got most of the "0" rings from a hydralic shop except for what I call a cup seal. They gave me an "0" ring in place of it to go around the bottom of the pinion gear inside the cylinder. Does anyone know for sure this will work or will it leak fluid. Do they make a kit that I can purchase somewhere. I also need a check valve spring that goes on the piston inside the steering cylinder. Any information on these items will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What you're calling a cup seal I think is what's known as a quad ring. It has square edges, not round. I don't think I'd risk it. Might be just asking for a lot of work doing it over. They're available most everywhere,Agco,Agparts First....

Thanks rrlund and yes thats what the shop manual calls it is a pinion quad ring. The only thing i didnt see in the kit was the check valve spring. I had a spare cylinder so im still good to go but would like to find the spring to have complete spare cylinder.
Diseltech, thank you also for responding. The only problem im having with the injector pump is shutting the tractor off. When you pull the stop cable it does not shut the fuel off. Dont know if this can be fixed easly or need to take it off and send it off to be repaired. Thanks in advance to both you and rrlund.

Does the shut off cable pull it back far enough to kill the engine? You might be able to fix by takeing the 3 screw top off the pump and look at the linkage system that shuts it off with out removeing the whole pump.

Go with the quad ring. On the injection pump, unhook the cable at the pump and move the shut off by hand with the engine running to the shut off position. It could just be the cable /linkage is out of adjustment.

See if it will shut off as J. said by hand at pump with cable disconnected. If it stops, cable may have slipped in block bracket and needs reset. If it still runs, call me after 7 PM IN time. Can tell you what to look for. 574 893 four one seven two. Ask for Rich. Pump may not need to come off.

I have been inside hundreds of these pumps. I run a small injection shop and can help you at a reasonable price if you decide to send it out to be gone through. I never charge for over the phone help. Give me a call And I can walk you through your problem and maybe you can repair it yourself. 231/757/0064 Ask for Al
