I have accquired a 70 Oliver Pulling tractor. This little thing had a huge enigne in it and I need a "Connential Education" The tractor has a bad block. The huge sleeves in it just didn't have enough block left to support them. Is there a better block out Connential block out there without the sheetmetal plate on the side that this crank & other part will be compatible with? Also the crank in this engine has full factory counterweight on it. Any idea what it may have came out if?

Thanks,
Cody

I know exactly where it came from and who built it. It was done right, I just need a stronger block. I'm in Tennessee.

cody, are you fixing up claytons old 70? he kicked alot of azz with that machine. always wondered what happened to it. i thought that 70, and Born of the Spirit super 66 would have been an awesome face off at a pull.

Yeah, I've got clayton's old 70. I've updated some stuff on it and looking or a stronger block to put all these goodies in......

Not even close! The Oliver/Continental is 201 cubic inch OHV engine. The Massey 101 Continental is a 226 cubic inch flathead.

cody, check on clark fork lifts, hyster lifts. you will be surprised engine parts that will change over with oliver 70 James

if this has the original 70 block in it, it is a continetel GS6202 or DS6202 engine if i remember right , back when i worked for a cont. engine dealer , they where only used in oliver 70 tractors to the best of my knowledge , thats why if you look in a parts book there only listed as an oliver engine , so unless you can find equipment with one of those engines in it youll need to find one out of a 70, theres plenty of them out there but beware they are known to crack on the left side water jackets , normally visable from the outside , if its not original engine but is cont. there should be a model number on it somewhere to determon what you got and go from there

can you post pictures of what you got , ill try and help id this block , crank & rod pin diameter , and casting numbers would help , but i understand if you dont want to let the cat out of the bag on here , seems like some of these other guys are too interested in what you got,- he he
