I have seen the oliver 4240 plow with a smaller tail wheel, and the 4240 plow with the tail wheel the same size as the axle wheels. Which one is correct or are they both correct. Possibly different years?

This plow was made for several years. Mine has the larger tail wheel and was painted meadow green with white wheels. It also has older style hubs with the sleeve bearings. It is confusing.
I have seen them with smaller tail wheels...painted green and red and with roller bearings.

I don't know the year, but believe the early ones had the smaller tailwheel, then they changed to the larger size on the later ones,.
Maybe when the 3 didget tractors came out.

like larry said it had both. at some point they switched from the small to the big one.
