Wasn't somebody telling a while ago about getting some of those strips in new at a dealership and there were plain like that?

Don't know about any tractors that were built and called "Bauldys". Was this tractor crashed and rebuilt at one time? I do know where these parts came from.

The Cockshutt 660 tractors that were built in 63 as shown in the above photo had the plain grill components. They simply did not do the final stamping process that put the OLIVER letters in the strip and the shield raise for the badge in the upper hood cap. As you can see in the photo they put a decal in place of the badge. Ollie Shafer told me that their dealership ordered a repair part center strip for a customer and got a plain one and thought that they got a defective part, he now know what the part is.

My "employer" purchased a 77 for parts mainly. He said come "Come look at this" It does not have the word Oliver on the strip either. He asked me if I remember any other 77 tractors like that. I said "No'.
