looking to buy an oliver1450 search for parts but not many out there should i stay away from fiat built olivers? anyone have knowledge on this?

this goes both ways. true there are not many parts out there but i wouldn't completely avoid it, i hear these tractors are really nice and reliable. you might be able to get parts "across the pond" since it is a foreign tractor. still i have no real knowledge on these tractors just second hand info and rumors.

Have used 350 and 445 long(fiat built) tractors extensively.good utility tractor.used the 350 on a 16 inch irrig. pump3 weeks straight 24/7.engine is pretty much bullet proof hard to find parts

Recall looking at import tractor parts buyer's guide. 1450 was not recommended- most of the other models are better. The 1250 gas was a complete disaster- used an Italian military engine that was terrible, and there are no parts available for it.

years ago we had two 1450 tractors, they were good but hard to get parts,I can recall the coupler between the power steering pump that run on the front of the engine,we had to get one made up and that was 25 years ago

I have two of them. Parts are hard to find, but if you look hard enough you can generally find what you need. I think the 1450 was one of the best utility tractors Oliver ever made. They were rated at 53 hp, and built heavy. Head gasket leaks seem to be common problem. I don"t like the PTO setup that well (2 stage clutch), but otherwise it"s been a very dependable tractor.
