Rejuvenating a twenty years old restoration job on my standard cockshutt 70 serial no 311644. main problem to be solved is oil dripping from the crankshaft rear oil seal. been searching the net for this seal with no luck. Question is: where do I get it and is it something special I should know about doing this job. thanks in advance Yvon.

Try Phil Heisey [email protected] (any time) or phone 216 256 8651 (weekends) Be paceint Phil is a busy guy. If he don't have it he'll probabley be able to tell you where to go. Rocko.

The pan gaskets and rear seal are the same as for a Continental F600 series engine. You also need to see if the retainer that holds the seal is warped. We used to have a "car" customer. He restored Kaiser automobiles. They used the same seal and retainer. He always replaced the retainer each time. He had solved his leak problems. What brand of gaskets does you favorite auto parts sell? Tell me that and I will get you some part numbers.

Sorry Yvon I was miseaken, Phil only deals in Cockshutts own manufactured tractors, think the 70 was a rebadged Oliver but you probabley knew this. Rocko.
