Howdy, What is an Oliver 600 diesel worth? wide front, still in what looks like orginial paint, lower part of the fenders rusted through, tach showing 2258 hrs, (David Brown tach), new tires all around and you can still read the tire size on the treads, 3 point, it has been kept in a shed

Thanks in advance
Larry

I can't Give you a price. But from a post a few day's ago "Most Collectible Olivers" little further down this page, I think it was rrlund who said they are very RARE. Not to mention that from what you said it sounds like at least a couple thousand in tires on it. Myself I think I'd be suspisous of the hours and DB tach but maybe I'm wrong there. Sure some one wiser will be along soon with more info. Rocko.

A 600 Oliver is a David Brown so it will have a David Brown tach. Yes the tires can add up into money quick.

I'd have to find the actual numbers, but I'm thinking there were only something like 400 of them. I haven't seen one in about 10 years, and that was way down in the Ozarks on a jockeys lot.

Thanks,I'd like to see it. I'm still trying to find the 500 that the neighbor bought new. Not many of those around either.

Rr lund;do you mean david brown 880 and 990?if so the 990/600 was a great tractor!52 hp if i remember right.had 2 990's at one time.real good for dirt work,cutting hay,etc.

These pre dated the 880 and 990. They were 850 and 950. Keep in mind, the reason Oliver sold/quit selling them was because DB didn't have any network in the US to sell them,so they painted them green and sold them through Oliver dealers. As soon as they got their dealer network up,Oliver went to Fiat for their import utilities.
