First of all I just saw your reply. If that is going to be a vehicle application you should be looking at How Perkins equipped the vehicle engines. They use a different injection pump/governor set up.You don't want a constant speed combine governor or a variable speed tractor governor. There used to be a couple of Ford pick up trucks around Toleod with 354 Perkins under the hood. In fact Perkins wanted to sell the engine to Ford to start with in the UK.
 
yes i no that i was no woried about that to much i know couple have done it and had no problems but they were the red motors not the blac ones thanks also you need a front damper and not just a pulley if you have just a pulley you will brake the crank
 
In the early 60s the truck that picked up our milk was a Dodge strait job with a 354 Perkins from the factory. No turbo so likely about 100 HP.
