Most collectible/rare Oliver

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but since it's a new year, which Olivers would be on your list? Mine would be the "purple" 50 series, mist green 880, 440, and my favorite 2050/2150.

I think the spirit of oLiver, even though it was really a white.

Well,the 8160 is one of a kind.

If somebody asked me to pick the one that would get the most looks at a show and would likely be the only one in the US,I'd probably have to pick the SAME built 462.

Even knowing what it is,I always thought the G1355 was the toughest looking Oliver ever. The 1865 is a rare bird that looks tough and would be on my list too, along with the 2655.

I wish I could find the 500 that the neighbor bought new back in the early 60s. I know where it got traded in on a new Ford, but nobody seems to remember where it went. A 600 would be even more rare than that.

I can think of 2 that I really want. #1 is a Super 44and #2 is a Super 55. I would not mind a Super 77 and a 88 standard

I assume you are asking about production models that were for sale to the public, and not concept/expermintal tractors.

If so, the production model that I would like is an Oliver Hart Parr standard row crop (sugar cane model) built in 1930 or 1931. I have only see one.

My second choice would ba a Oliver Twin 880. I have never see one in person, but there were six built and one sold.

My wish list is simpler...I collect the 70 line of Olivers and grew up in the 40's with all the neighbors using Oliver 70's. Rubber on the front and tiptoe rears. I have a few of those and am looking for a Raby cab for one of my 70"s.

I was fortunate enough to purchase an Oliver 80 diesel, so that is off my list. I would love to have an Oliver Chilled Plow tractor (prototype for the Hart Parr Row Crop 18/27) but I only know of 3, though there are probably a few more. Also a Hart Parr 28-50, and a Hart Parr 70 standard.

Never seen a 8160 before looks like the fenders are like a white fenders on the cab but the rest of the cab looks differant, and the grill is like the 55s with the lights, how many of these were built, were they just like a 1855 or a 1955 besides the cab or were they completely differant, what motor was used in it.

30 years ago, or so, there was a 500 on the local tractor lot, and it sat around there FOREVER. Problem was, the sales guy was a dyed-in-the-wool Oliver man, and he thought the Oliver badged David Brown was slightly less than worthless, so his sales efforts were not the best. Don't know what ever happened to it.

As far as the Oliver I'd like, I guess I'd go with the 995 Lugmatic, too. Just don't wanna pay "market price", LOL!

Okay, so were there a few made or did someone just put it together. Neat tractor though.

The 600 is even harder to find. Last one of those I saw was about 10 years ago on a jockeys lot north of West Plains Mo. I was going too fast when I noticed it to stop and look.

It's a custom job,not factory. Don't know where he came up with the number designation, but he had a heck of a nice set of decals made up for it,black background with gold lettering. The hood was custom made to mate up with the cab. Super nice job.

love to find a 880 LP in its work cloths. I have 60 cockshutt WF with 28" cast centers rears with fender extensions. how many of those do you see. came out of canada

Rarest in terms of most valuable has always been the 995 Lugmatic. In terms of hard to find anything with the hydraulic front wheel assist is pretty rare.

well dads list technically was done 10 years ago and some how it keeps growing, still he is prbably looking for a super 88 diesel and a 66 or super 66 diesel motor for the super 55 and then he would have every super diesel oliver, well almost he has the super 99 GM but would need a super 99 6 cylinder to have them all. i would like to get the 2255 FWA that i always want but they are never cheap. oh and curt my dad has the 2150, it was the strongest oliver in the family until dad got the 2255, still 165hp was pretty good for a 2150.
