I worked at AM general the last 1000 M 151's that came off the line had Hercules engines, I would believe the first 151's had ford engines but by the time they got to the A-1, A-2 models they had Hercules.
I know this as I salivated over the racks of new engines I walked by every day until the last came off the line. Also as a side note those last 1000 went to Pakistan.

Yes on the Continental engines I have one here that I was told was likely to be an old jeep engine. When I got my Cletrac HG42 it had that in it but had so little power I switch it for a Oliver 60 engine
