What size older Oliver needed?

Inquiring in general what sizes of tractor horsepower/model wise would I need to drive various sizes of 540 PTO generators? How big for instance generator can I power with a 77?

I can run my 12,000 just fine with my 66,so I'd think a 77 would handle a 15,000 alright.

A 77 is about 35hp at the PTO. This equates to 26kW, but there will be some driveline losses. So, you might be able to run a 20kW generator.

it is easier and takes less HP to run an oversize generator at a partial load than to run an undersized at full load. i ran a 25/35 kw with a 77 no problems. however using a 15/20 on the same load would kill the tractor when vacuum pump would kick on.
