When you use any of the high range gears the speed of the low range imput gear runs faster than what the speed of the imput shaft is. I am not going to calculate the speeds for you but I did an article for the HPOCA magazine that pointed that out for the 1800 transmissions. The same thing will occur in the 880 transmission. Is the tractor used for farming? If so when you have the transmiison in neutral with the engine running, place the transmission in the low range neutral. I alway though the 880 without a power Booster and a pump was a good trouble free 60 horsepower tractor. Now it would be good just for spreading fertilizer, it would be good for running an auger, but the hydraulic system does not have the capacity to lift one. [Reply]  [No Email]

Not very many standards had the pump added, so it's not to often you see them up here. [Reply]  [No Email]
