1650 hyd pump question

Does the hyd pump in my 1650 need to be filled before 1st use and if so,how?

No it actually sits down in the oil if all the oil is in there.

So how is a 1755 pump different?Externally mounted like my long 445?

A 1755 is an axial piston pump, your 1650 pump is just a plain jane gear pump. Also axial piston pumps need an external means of filling. Yes the 1755 pump is on the outsie. Your long uses a gear pump. The 1755 is a closed center system, your Long and 1650 are open center systems.

I am just putting it back together as I have time.Did not remember having to fill them with hyd. oil,but its been a long time since I changed one.Thanks for the info.As usual I'm amazed how much you know J.
