Jim Meade 12-15-2012 12:34:47 208.126.218.108 Report to Moderator	1855 #A has a crack in the flare end of the metal high pressure hydraulic line that wraps around the cast housing. 1855 #B has a good line but I want to tap it for use on a loader. I'm thinking I will take the good line off #B and replace it with a hydraulic hose with a T in it to tap into for the loader. I could use the good line off #B and put it on #A, or I could put a hydraulic line on #A as well. A new steel line is about $100. A hydraulic line would be much less than that. 1. Any suggestions or comments on the above ideas? 2. How do I get at the right hand fitting of the hydraulic line to remove it? Remove the floor board? Both tractors have cabs. [Reply]   [No Email]

If so, I had the same trouble with my 2255 last spring. I ended up taking the front right cab support off, and then I could get a wrench on the fitting. There was no need to prop up the cab. The steel line was about $104. Afterwards, I was talking to a former service manager, and he said that vibration made the crack and that when the dealership was open, they would have hydraulic hoses made to replace the steel line. That line is common to many models, so I had one made up as a hose, and keep it hanging in the shop in case I need it. [Reply]  [No Email]
