30.5, if you don't already have the 770 head, put the cost of the 770 head in the 77 head and you will be ahead of the game. you can put 880 valves in your 77 head and there is enough meat in the seats to just fit the 880 valves in and port or have someone port and polish it for you. i put 880 valves in my head this way about 30 years ago with good results. do you know the bore and stroke? can you post a pic. of the carb side of the engine? chuck

| did you put both intake and exhaust in or just intakes? was told the crank was stroked an inch, with some rough measuring its 4.125 bore and 5.25 stroke. I forgot to take a pic of carb side but someone has done a little grinding on the outside of the block. |
