Several months ago I sold the engine out of my 77 puller to a guy over the phone that goes by the name of Gary who I beleve is from around the Lansing Michigan area. I pulled the engine out and made a stand to ship it on. Since then I have heard many sob stories, son died in the spring, thanksgiving weekend his area receved ten inches of snow and he couldent make it.Then last week his dad passed away.He agreed to be here at noon today and who would of guessed the dead beat didnt show! He told me he worked for a large cattle farmer but I receved an email from anouther puller that he stiffed and he told him that he was retired from GM. Long and short of it is BEWARE! I have my 320 inch engine listed on the photo adds, Its out of the tractor now thanks to Gary and ready to ship. Live and learn I guess. Thanks, Mike

There are folks like that out there, but I find most are pretty good. Think of it this way, you could without the engine and have a bad check hand or no money at all. Your just out some time and energy which stinks, but isn't the end of the world.

I got anouther email this morning from a puller in ohio that this joker did the same thing to. He pulled the engine for him and he never showed up.No its not the end of the world but I had a couple of outher chances to sell this engine and declined because I held up my end and said it was sold. Id posted BEWARE so that outhers didnt get stiffed by the same guy.

This sounds VERY eerily familiar. Had a guy from Nashville Michigan drive in here Monday afternoon. Wondered if I knew anybody around here who had recently bought a Brahman bull. Said the guy worked in some Ford test facility in Grand Rapids. He wasn't looking for him so much as a guy who was supposed to be living with him. That kid owed him a bunch of money. Had rented a house from him in Ionia, was waiting on a loan to buy it,so wasn't paying the rent. He moved out, left a big mess that cost the old one legged guy $1200 to get cleaned up. Now he thinks the guy stole his dog to boot. Said the money wasn't the big issue,he just wanted his dog back.

He said he was getting all kinds of sob stories out of him. Brother killed himself, now he had cancer and was in Chicago one day,Buffalo the next being treated. Was gonna reroof the old guys house for what he owed him,on and on and on.

The old guy did say that he had a Super 55 Diesel with a loader that he was thinking about turning loose. He has my phone number. I told him to call me if he decides to get rid of it. Turns out he was a Swede and an Oliver guy from way back,so we had a two hour talk while he was here.

fellows these are the same stories I hear every day. I do collections for a local car dealership. One guy told me he has to spend 200.00 on new false teeth to keep his job, so he could pay us next month. I told him my 90 year old mom needed new false teeth too, could he give me the name of the dentist that would supply them for 200.00. His payment was in the overnight payment box the next day. Keep the faith guys there are more good ones out there than bad ones, some days it just seems the other way around.

Im getting calls and emails from all over the country from pullers that have had the same experiance with this old boy. Im starting to think mabie this guy isnt a dead beat, mabie there is something wrong upstairs???Mabie he has alzimers or allis chalmers or what ever you call it.

What pisses me off is, when you place a WANT ADD, and retards are calling and asking how much for the part?????? Takes 5 minutes to explain that you do not have one, that is why it is called a want add..... Life is too short Mike, good thing you are only out time
