Most likely you should have to see if theplunger was free in the pump. Now the plunger probably broke. Also every 570 I ever worked on had a Bosch Heavy duty head.

What would break the plunger? Where should I go from here?

Fuel varnish.Does CNY mean Cental New York? Get me the model off the pump. I know a diesel shop that had a brand new heavy duty PSB head, but I need some numbers. How about a phone number?

Get the pump number and the hydraulic head part number as well. Sometimes they have been replaced with a different number than original.
