Super 55 drawbar

I just got done making a swinging drawbar frame for the wife's Super 55. The drawbar itself is from a 70,but I can't for the life of me find the frame part of it,so I made one up out of angle iron. It still needs a little bit of grinding and finishing, but I wore the wheel on the angle grinder right down to a nub and it was getting late.

Looks good to me. I just wonder why the draw bars are so long and far away from the pto? My brother was gonna hook onto his new to him nh 65 baler but the pto shaft isn't long enough to work on his tractor. Didn't put a tape on it but it looks like the hole is more than 20 inches away from the end of the shaft. I guess the quick fix is to use an extension...

I made this one a little bit shorter than stock. I used the inside hole in the drawbar and still have it slid back in the frame farther than normal. I measured the frame on the 77 and backed this one off from what that one was.
But yea, they did stick out there a long ways. I wanted to be able to use the 3pt without taking it off.

His drawbar doesn't have any second hole to make it shorter, although I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for a guy like me to put one in. It would atleast be a little more user friendly I would think.

He bought a tiller this spring and had to take about 3" off the shaft ends to fit it right, so the 3pt. doesn't seem too out of the oridinary.
