2-135 parking brake

Went to park the tractor yesterday put on the parking brake, it went into place, left go of the brake pedal and it started moving. The last month or so the park lever wouldn't always stay in the locked position but would sometimes come unlocked. I would push back down it would stay. Then yesterday the lever stayed lock but the tractor moved. From the outside everything seems ok, none of the linkage is unhooked. I assume it is in the transmission. What to do next? Thanks.

Make sure there's not dirt built up on top the trans. cover where the linkage is. I've seen dirt keep the linkage from moving completely. WB<><.

There was an update to those as the pivot pin/bolt would fail down in the trans. Yours may not have recieved it, or it just wore out. It was sensative to being put into park while moving. As I recall there were improved linkage bushings in that bulletin also.

if the linkage is working it's probably the park lock pivot bolt in the bottom of the trans.housing they can break off but, usualy they come unscrewed. remove trans. cover, may have to move a shift rail and you can reach it, trans. cover is the worse part of the job always for me.

I put one in my 2-135 series 2 a year ago. The bolt backed out and fell down i was able to do it threw the top cover and there was a plug on the front side of the transmission that lines up real nice with the bolt to tighten it up, as i remember it wasnt terrible to do once u get it fished out i had someone help me get the bolt started when i held it in place and it went pretty good. I used the updated paw but i did not do anything with the linkage.
