trying to id my tractor. it has a 4 cly diesel FIAT 854A 100-113964 with a 4 speed hi/lo tranny. the serial plate is missing. it has the round tube front axle, not the "U". it has the 2 separate fuel filters not the dual together. thinking it might of been special order orchard for an orange grove since i'm in florida?

trying to post a few pics...hope it might help.

I am no expert but in California I never saw a real orchard from fiat. There was what we called a vineyard special which yours appears to be. The dealers out here took the standard fiat tractors and would rotate the rear final drive to either lift or lower the back end then cut the front spindle to match.

i think its a rare tractor. my dad has a 1365 and my final drive is much more narrow. also in the sparex parts catalog they have parts only for a 1355 orchard. i saw a picture of a full dressed (orchard fenders) 4 wheel drive with 1365 decals. maybe it was a mistake on the decal...or another custom build ?

I need to think on this a little bit, but I do know for the 1255 they built a narrow tractor and it was called a vineyard tractor.

thanks to the both of you guys for the help. i thought it might be an older model to...but it has a 4cly engine with the improved 4 sp transmission. i read somewhere that the front axle changed in the 1355 series to the "U" type? i have spent way to many hours on research, confrimed by my wife..lol!..but i'm on a mission to find out what this tractor is.

thanks mike for the info on the fenders. this tractor is so narrow, i'd love to have those fenders on it as well.

i also read that there were 1,500 1355's made. if it is a 1355? so not sure how many of those would of been vineyard/orchard? if its truely rare and a collector would like to restore it and give it a great home, i'm very open to selling it, but also in keeping it as well. it does have 50mm brake bands, as i have pulled one wheel and worked on the brake. i have ordered and recieved the overhaul parts for the 3pt lift and am in that process.

thanks gordey....i'm not a collector, i grew up on a farm riding massey harris, and my dad now has several olivers and a white. i bought it to use on only a few acres, then started looking for repair parts. thats when i found it must be somewhat rare? i wanted to put a loader on it, but its so narrow, not sure about the mounting. and it doesn't have power steering. i have no idea its value, it does run fine, and i am repairing the 3pt lift now and will repair the other brake next. with the available front sheet metal put on, power steering added and painted it would be fine for myself. i have seen like models in the 5k area. any idea what its worth?

I saw one at a dealer out here in Cal about the same condition it sold for 2500.00. I am pretty sure it went back to work in a vineyard. This was six months ago.

just got some new info...i'm 98% certain now its a early model 1355 orchard. a 1969 or early 1970. the axle and no power steering, the seperate fuel filters and now the most conviencing the fenders confirm the orchard model. is there a way to back search a eninge number, or some other numbers off it to get a serial number?
