looking at an 1850 diesel i think it has hyda- power so it is an early model , does anyone know of common problems with this model tractor , anything that should be checked out really good , and what one in good shape is worth , thanks in advance

+or- $5000. No specific problems with them. Just check what you would on any other tractor. Make sure the hydrapower shifts OK,hydraulics, the PTO isn't likely going to stop turning unless there's something hooked to it. That's normal for them.
Excellent tractor otherwise. They are to Oliver what the 4020 was to Deere. I use mine more than any other tractor I own. Just a nice tractor for any job. Can't beat the Perkins engine. They finally wised up and put that engine in an 1855 and called it the White 2-85 and 2-105.

Very nice tractor to own. I have 2, one is a MFWA and the other a 2 wheeler with the 3 spd hydraul and a 2 spd PTO.

Before you buy the tractor, slide under it with a wrench and bucket and check the finals for water and metal particles in the oil.

I didn't do this on one of mine and have since paid the ultimate price, new bulls and bevels.
