1855 Torque shifts with throttle

When I move the throttle the torque shifts. I sprayed everything exposed with PB Blaster and it was better for awhile. It looks like a major job to get inside the dash. Any suggestions?

If its like a 2-85 white you can take the dash apart, wasn't to tough and there's a screw in there if I remember right and if you loosen it up it should help you, we had to tighten ours up because the throttle wouldn't stay we're you put it, but don't loosen it up to much otherwise you'll have the problem we had hope that helps.

If I remember right, on my 2-105, same set up that the throttle lever is hooked to a shaft that goes through (inside) the pipe that the 3 spd shifter linkage is hooked to, problem might be in that area. Just be careful when removing any dash parts because of dash lights and hot wires, especially the right one with ign switch, don't ask me how I know, just remove battery cables, and remember to make sure the light fixtures are back in the gages

Also the adjustment that controls the throttle is under the fuel tank on left side, a bell crank type of thing that uses a 9/16's wrench, and a little adjustment goes a long way, have to change mine on 2-105 between cold and hot weather, uses a self locking nut, with nylon insert or outta round style lock nut, this is if I remember seems like the 1650 D was the same way. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, as I'm getting older.
