Boy , I hope someone has an answer for me on this. I installed a belt pulley on a Super 77 that did not previously have one. When using the tractor the belt pulley it went dry & locked up. I know it is supposed to be fed from the transmission , so I pre filled it as required and parked the machine with the front of the tractor downhill and ran it for 1/2 hour but the gears at the front never brought any oil up to the gears. Trans full. Help !!!! Please ? |

Did someone remove the little tray in the transmission that is to help feed oil to the belt pulley?

As noted this tractor did not have a belt pulley on it so anything about an oil tray is news to me. Can you provide a part number perhaps ? Is it only used with a belt pulley ? And Thank You !

I don't really have any idea as to the belt pulley problem, but would you want to sell the bearing retainer you removed in order to put the belt pulley on?

Plugs are out. they seem to be more for an oil outlet as none came in when running. They are at a level that would just keep enough in there for good splash lubrication.
