Hauling 550

Is your trailer rated for 7,000 pounds gross or more? Your ball must be for the same weight, I think a 2" ball is 5,000 or less. The hitch should be at least 700 pound weight and 7,000 haul or pull, not sure what they call that. The car tires are likely good enough, at least 1600 pounds listed on the sidewall? Does your trailer have brakes on both axles? Do they work? Do the breakaway brakes work? Do you have good safety chains under the hitch? What will you use to pull this load?

I hauled my Super 55 without a loader on just a light little tandem utility trailer behind the wife's Ford Explorer SportTrac 120 miles.

don't forget to make sure it'll fit between the fenders on your trailer, I had to make some ramps out of 2x12s cause everything i buy has to be driven up and over the fenders, that was a rude awakening the first time when I didn't think about that

I have a 66Ind w/a loader I haul all the time on my 16' 10K trailer & i've also hauled my 60 & 70 & or 2) 70's on it.
I think you might be real close to the load limit on a 7000Lb trailer depending on if there's fluid & weights on the 550.
If you use your trailer make sure the tires are aired to the max & I wouldn't drive much over 55 with it.Make sure to that you have alot of tongue with when you load it so it doesn't sway
