1950t oil pressure

HI, I have a 1950t that was supposed to have a rebuilt engine in it when I bought the tractor. At start up it has 40lbs pressure, and when warm running a baler will drop to 28lbs. The other day I put it on a stalk chopper and was really working it, and the pressure would drop to 22lbs. Now where the oil galley pressure relief valve is supposed to be there is only a little plug that takes a small allen wrench. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

What are you using for oil? Do you have an engine serial number. It sounds like you have one of the replacement engines that does not have a conventional relief valve. Besides the was you describe it the releif valve is working as it should and you have an internal leak. Might be time to find Sher-lock Holmes and his bearing leak detector.
