Last night I finished up chopping some hay that we were mixing about 50/50 with some corn, and when I got hooked back onto the corn chopper and started in the field, I noticed a faint glow coming from the dash- Here the air filter light was starting to light up!
I always try not to open up the air filters more often than needed (still check them once in a while), and since we haven't ever replaced the air filters in the 18 since we bought it almost 10 years ago, I figured we could do that much for it. I have them ordered, just gotta go get 'em now.
The hay was pretty dusty so I'm sure that and the dry soil (dusty conditions there too) pushed it over the tipping point. Gotta get the filters before we hook onto the plow and change them out. Also ordered the block heater cord while I was at it.
I always wondered if those lights worked, and now I know that one of them surely does. Still no idea if the other oil temp light works, but it's never given me any issues there.
