White 2-85

I found me a white 2-85 without a cab on it that is in pretty good shap with 3500 hours on it. What should I be warned about pros and cons thanks

pretty tough tractor not much to be worried about, i was not ever real crazy about them because i thought they were a little shy on power , just my thoughts

bought a new one in 1977, have about 8,000 hours on it. have put a couple clutches in it and a new hyd pump. has a few minor oil leaks but really has been a trouble free tractor.

Red stripe or is it the older style? makes a slight difference on they type of 354 perkins they have. They red stripes have a DOT 4 engine in them which are abit more stout than the older ones. Not that it makes a huge difference, its still a very reliable tractor either way. I have a red stripe with trouble free 4500 hrs and a neighbor has a gray stripe that has endured over 8k torturous hrs. Overall a great 85 hp tractor for the $$
