starter switch

My uncle as a kid used a screw driver to turn the switch. The key still fit after but it was always a little loose. Those switches really ain't too complicated and are just plastic on either side of the key. No tumblers or anything

Franklin,
What do you have for a tractor? I can start my 1850 Oliver gasser with my small regular (flat) blade on my Leatherman. Just a thought for you.

I didn't notice the diesel part before. Should be able to simply jump it at the stater, the key just turns on the guages and lets the alternator charge.
