Murphy's manifold works real good and you can use what ever carb you want it bolts up to 88 thru 1650 exhaust manifold. Jeff # 573-696-3655 he's easy to deal with

The flange the carb bolts to is bigger on a 1650/55. The 1650/55 intake/exhaust bolts right up to your Super 88.

anything you can do to help get the head flowing better could help. they dont have the biggest valves in the world, and the ports are small, you can open the ports up quite a bit. my 88 is destined to have the manifold, carb n cyl head opened up considerably in the near future. it runs very well now tho....
