Geez,I don't know anything about the tractor yet,but I found a Super 55 gas,supposedly with a blown head gasket,for $1000.
Found it by talking to strangers. I was in a gas station 50 miles from home. A guy came in with a boom truck,working for a lighting service,to change some light bulbs. He was wearing an Oliver hat and I had my Oliver shirt on. I struck up a conversation with him. He said he only had one,a Super 55. Said he blew the head gasket two years ago and just bought a different tractor instead of fixing it. I didn't even ask if it was for sale,but he asked me what it was worth. I gave him the stock answer,I'd have to see it,but probably $1200-3500. He said $1000 would buy this one.
Long story short,I'm going to look at it Sunday. Taking the trailer. Unless that thing's burned to the ground,it's coming home with me.

I put an electric pump on my Super88, and it pumps 17 pounds. I don't think you need that much, maybe about 7.

| I also have a lift pump problem. I am considering putting an electric pump in it's place. If I do, what kind of pressure should it be capable of? This is a diesel.

| I HAD A COUPLE 550'S and a neighbor had a 55--great tractors. Good deal--right place right time---
