I have a 1959 770 with the power booster and of course it does not work like most out there (I"m pretty sure the clutch plates are bad). I noticed that it has a tie-rod style linkage to the input lever on the gearbox, would it be possible to tighten that up to make it work again for a little while? or would I just have to completely pull it out and rebuild it to make it work again? or is there something that I"m not seeing to make it functional again? Thanks for any input |

| Woops sorry for not clarifying, the low side slips. When you pull in the lever, you loose power. it almost acts as a hand clutch |

| | I didn't completely understand what you said but if the high side of the power booster slips you have to pull shims out. Its been a while but as I remember it looks a lot like the pto clutch and uses the same shims. You have to take them out in equal thickness (3 sets) until the clutch snaps in fairly hard. At this point though I don't have any specs on how hard that should push. If the clutch disks are wore out then that has to be fixed first. RT ( my 2 cents ) |
