Any one know where to pick up the reamer that J. Schweibert mentioned in his post to my 1855 injector problem. The local JD dealer doesn't seem to have one or be able to get one. The local auto store says it will take a full week to get and they show it as a brush, not a reamer. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe a JD number so I can order it online.thanks |

MikeO-WI: Looks like my finger hit the "8" key instead of the "9" key for the reamer. Yes the correct number for the reamer is JDE 39.

MikeO-WI: Here are the tool numbers that you need to perform R&R service on "Pencil" injectors.   From Bacharach Industral Tool Company 66-0410 Nozzle puller 66-0414 Reamer 66-0415 Clamp Tool From Owattona Tool Company (OTC)I.m not sure of the Company name now as they have been purchased by another company, I think it is called Service Tools Inc. JDE 38 Nozzle Puller JDE 38 Nozzle Bore reamer JDE 49 Return line clamp tool JDE 258 Carbon Dam installation tool The carbon dam that is in the lower groove of the nozzle is there to prevent carbon flow between the nozzle and the bore in the Cylinder head, must be renewed everytime the nozzle is removed. The compression seal is accomplished at the upper end of the nozzle and is clamped in place. You also have a spacer under the hold down clamp that the retainer bolt passes through. Over the years there has been two different thichnesses of spacers under the hold down clamp and two different thichnesses of compression seals. You should have the largest thickness demension spacer. Are you sure you don't have the smalles demension seal? A review of a 1650/1750 parts book will show two different part numbers for the spacer and seal.

I tried to buy JD part numbers from OTC for a 40 series JD tractor clutch fixture. They told me I had to order them from my John Deere dealer. I did and the price was not to bad. Not sure about injector tools. A lot of stuff is available from Goodson. Phone number is in my shop. If you can not find it on google email me and I will send it to you.

I noticed you listed the same part number for the OTC puller and reamer. Is this correct? Also where would I order the reamer. I tried online but I can't find the part numbers you listed.
