Another neat Australian White/Oliver ad

A good friend of mine Jason Hasert who writes the wide wide world of White articles for Oliver Heritage wanted me to share this Australian White/Oliver ad that he just acquired. The interesting thing I find with this ad is the 2155 Oliver and the A4t Plainsman that has a flat grill and is not red white and blue like all others I have seen. Even the White logo on the grill of this one is out of the norm compared to what you usually see. Any comment or info about this would be neat to hear.

We received 2 of the A4T tractors the first spring they were available. They were red and white no blue on them nor did they have the word "plainsman" on them. 504 with M & W turbos from the factory. A man I worked went to the combine plant in Branfort on his vacation one year. He told us about seeing the Arbos combine there at that time.

I think that these pictures are of these models later in the production run. I read somewhere that the fiberglass "bubbles" on the grill fell off a lot so they changed them. I attached a picture of my 2655 which has the same grill as the 2155 in the picture. My 2655 is the next to the last one off the line.

Very neat. Looking at that A4T again I also see that it has the Oliver grill in it and not the MM grill. All "Plainsmans" that I have ever seen were bubble nose with red white and blue paint scheme. Also from what I have researched only the bubble nose models said WHITE in the grill. They flat grill models said MM or Oliver in them. Why didn't they just send 2655's to australia? Seems to be an odd one to me.

This is what seems to be the normal "Plainsman" Paint job

This is what the "Flat grill" red A4t's looked like in the end. Notice the bottom half of the grill is different than the Olivers.

No it still has the 504. The previous owner said that they sure could build a tractor but forgot to put an engine in it. As far as I'm concerned it seemed to pull that 6btm plow ok.

There was a change made in the front of these tractors from the "bubble" front to the flat front.  The "bubble" covered the hydraulic system resevour.
The following tractors had the Bubble front:
To S/N 43900246 (1400 W/504 Dsl. engine)
To S/N 45600262 (W/585 Dsl. engine)
To S/N 45700132 (W/504 LP engine)

Tractors after the above S/Ns have the flat front grills. &bnsp; There was also a change made in the hydraulic resevoir, however this occured before the above S/Ns.
