I am curious where the serial number break in which Oliver changed the decals and paint scheme on the 88. My 88 is serial is 125739. Engine cast is 190320. This is a 1949. However, when my Grandpa purchased this tractor new it had the Oliver Row Crop decal, no yellow hood strip, but has the yellow strip on the tub. We have pictures of it new. My question is when did Oliver make this change from the Row Crop 88 to the Oliver Row Crop decal? |

Lyle Dumont can explain that to you if you call him. He explained it to me. He also has the proper decals. 6416222592 |

| Maybe it sat on the lot for a while and they updated the decals at the dealership. Your strips are both normal. |

| my thought, is long frame stripe has old red letter decal and short frame stripe has yellow oliver row crop or oliver standard decal. as far as I know the yellow frame stripe was shortened in mid 1951. I also believe the 48 &49 models had a yellow stipe on the top of the hood. mostly it is your tractor,do what pleases you |
