1850 with cummins 5.9 value

The guy pro'ly has at least 6 grand into the conversion alone.Should be in the neighborhood of $10,000+
 
Most of the ones I have seen sell around $8K to $10K depending on how nice the conversion was done and what the rest of the tractor is like. They are right that is a $6K plus conversion and a $4K engine sitting in that tractor so it is at least worth that.

I am planning on selling one of my cummins conversions next spring to make some room for some more projects and will be asking $10K for the 1855 with a cab and a Cummins conversion. I think that is in the neighborhood of what the 1850 you are looking at would be worth.
 
A 55 series (17,18,1955) conversion would be a better buy than a 50 series. The 55 series had better hydraulics, brakes, and front axle among other things. There is nothing wrong with an 1850. They are one of the most popular models Oliver sold, but a 55 series conversion would be better (if you can find one for sale).
 
Hi shepva I have been trying to find you and ask some questions about repowering my 2-105 white field boss. It was a 354 perkins, the second one I have had in it. The first perkins had a warped block that kept breaking cranks so I went and got an engine out of a 1130 massey. The massey engine has holes between the cylinders where I think someone before me ran it too long with the head gasket leaking so now I am looking for an engine again. Someone on this forum told me you could tell me what I needed to convert to a 5.9 cummins. I can buy one out of a school bus which seems to be the one of choice from what I have found on the other talks. Most of the other forums are discussing 1850 and 1855 olivers and cockshutts, I am not familiar with those tractors at all and wanted to know if you have converted any whites or if yours were all olivers. I would appeciate some advice so I can decide whether to buy the cummins or look for another cursed Perkins.
