I have a 1850 diesel. Leaks some hydraulic, when I serviced it I used Universal Hydro/Trans. I also have a bunch of AW68 Hydraulic that I'd like to use, just sitting in my barn. Can I start topping the hydraulic fill off with the AW68? Or will mixing them be a bad idea. The tractor still farms for its keep, but is the equivalent of a beat up car with 250,000 miles on it. Anything to save money is good, but I don't want to damage it either.

I've been using TO-30 turbine oil in my 1850 for some time. It's used as hydraulic oil in large hydro governors. Works great summer or winter.
