1949 Oliver 77

We have an early 77, serial no. 324440, which has the first style of seat and frame on it. I believe it is the same as used on the 70. We need a new seat cushion that bolts to the uprights. Anyone have a source for this, and a picture of two of the underneath of the cushion? We have the backrest also. Is this suppose to have a cushion as well? Or just the metal back rest?

The seat back is just bare metal. I THINK those bottom cushions are just the same ones as the Deere 2 cylinders that had the batteries under the seat. Thinking back to the days when they were listed in the TSC catalogs anyway.

We had a 49 as well with this type of seat. It is not the same as a 70. We didnt have a cushion either. So we took a piece of 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch plywood and cut it to size. Then we put those nuts that you have to pound into wood to make them stay in. I forget what they are called, hopefully you know what I mean. Then we called up a seamstress and told her how big the cushion should be and she made one and stapled it to our plywood. Probably one of the most comfortable seats I ever sat on. The back rest never had a cushion on it. I can get some pics up here later.
