My neighbor has a 525 sitting in the weeds. I am a deere guy through and through but like the old combines. What can you tell me about the combine? looking at a restoration

overall good machine. Parts last I knew were still at Dealers. If you have ran JD combines of the same age/size you will notice that the JD corn head is a little better, although this machine is easier on gas. Easy to work on, although like any combine of any brand depending on use and care they eat money faster than corn. The throttle cable leaves alot to be desired, the engine will cough or be at full speed this drives you nuts. Machine not know to be a burn hazard.
