3-Point on my 1600

Whenever I bring my tractor to idle speed my 3 point hitch drops. It also drops when I operate my frontend loader. What is wrong? Don't make it to technical, I'm new to this stuff. Thanks
 
Can you explain this a little more. Does your 3 point stay up with the engine off? What kind of cylinders are on your loader, single or double acting? Do you run the loader with your tractor remotes/ or with a seperate valve and if so how is it hooked up?
 

The 3 point goes down when I turn off the engine. I dont understand what you are talking about with the loader. If you're asking, is it power up and down, then yes. The 3 point seems to go up and down with the engine running 1500 rpm and up higher. As soon as I slow it down then it goes down by itself. I have not tried to lift anything with it yet, because I don't have any attachments. I want to make sure it's going to work first. If you need a picture of something I can do that.
 
I don't understand why some people will ask you a lot of questions about your problem, and then turn around and tell you what you already know.

Your 3 point problem is a check ball in the servo valve. The ball has jammed into the spring that holds it in place. Oliver had a kit to fix the problem. You will need to remove the seat and the hydraulic top cover. After that it is an easy fix.

The kit number was 168 686 AS. More than likely it's no longer available. You might check with Mailbachs at 800-808-9934. If the kit is no longer available, ask them if a servo valve from a 1650/1655 will work as a replacement.
 
Since I am the only one that answered that most likely is his problem. If it has run 45 years with out the kit I would check on just another spring before I would get a servo valve. You can also have problems with the safety relief as well as leaking seals on the cylinder or a leaking piston seals.
