1850 Head/Turbo on 1650

I have a 1655 diesel and would like a little more power. Will the head, manifolds, and turbo from an 1850 or 1855 with turbo fit? This would have a factory appearance, not some cobbled up job. Both engines have the same bore and same manufacturer.

Thanks

Correct on the 1850 engine. The 1855 is listed as Oliver-Waukesha built engine with turbo. The 1650 and 1655 also have the Oliver-Waukesha engine. Same bore but more stroke as the series gets bigger. (My information came from external_link)

Thanks

Use the head you have and add the manifolds off a 1855 or 1955 and 1950T.Your engine is a 283 and the others are 310cid.You may have to use a smaller exhaust houseing on the turbo to get enough boost. The hood is smaller on the 1655 might be a tight fit and you will have to make a different intake tube from the air cleaner.I have a late 1650 that I turboed same engine that you have.

Can anyone tell me if the gas motor from the 1555 will fit in a 1655 or will the gas motor from a 1650 fit in the 1655. I have a 1655 with a bad motor and have found two possibilities a 1555 and a 1650, but I need to be sure the motors are interchangeable. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
