Hydraulic Problem - 3 point raises remote cylinder

Last night I was plowing a pasture when the rear of the plow would come out of the ground. It took me just a moment to find the problem: When I raised the three point the remote cylinder would raise. Fortunately, the second remote was not affected in the same way.

Do any of you have any ideas as to the problem. My Shop Manual does not mention this in the Troubleshooting Section.

I did not do an adequate job of explaining the problem, sorry.

When the three point is raised, even slightly, the two-way remote cylinder attached to the outside controller also raises.

Any thoughts on what is causing the hydralic fluid to move to both the internal three point cylinder and the remote one?

Jim

Let me ask this: Do you have a cylinder hooked to the left remote? If so are any of these remote cylinders single acting cylinders? Define what you mean when you say when you raise the 3 point even slightly. Can you here the relief valve when all this is going on?

Alright, here is further information.

Double acting cylinder.
Right remote
I "slightly" lifted the three point to reduce the load and gain traction, maybe 1" max, when I did this the remote cylinder on the reat of the plow would also raise.

Now why are we running on the right remote? Is this an A B or C series tractor. I think you have a bad coupler on the cylinder.

I was just reading on Hydralics on my 1800c and if you are running a single acting cylinder you are supposed to open a relief screw, that has a jam nut, on the side of the hydralic unit you are hooked up to.

I imagine other tractors have a similar system.

John, just a question.

Even though he is running the double action cylinder off the right side with two hoses, do you suppose the hydraulic unit is set for single action?????

Okay, some more information.

The cylinder works without problem on the left side. This problem happended after plowing 20 acres.

I have not run any double action cylinders on this remote, only the one way on the 499 Haybine.
