1953 jubilees

Does anyone know how many 1953 golden jubilees were made that were gold in color, and other then finding old paint under the layers is there a way to find them by serial numbers ?

I have an opportunity to buy two and I am hoping one might be a gold one.

There were no Jubilees painted gold by the factory. The 'golden jubilee' meant 50 years of Ford motor co. The only Ford tractors painted gold were some special ones in 1959 that had the new select o speed transmission.

As Greg said no gold.
Early Jub serial numbers were on left side of engine block up near the head. Later numbers were located behind the starter on the bell housing. Cut off numbers for Jub would be 77747.
If the engine/tranny have been switched out it is possible to have two sets of numbers or no numbers at all.

On The select-O-speed in 1959, Yes
In 1953 with the jubilee,No
If someone is telling you different, it's bull.

There is a real nice 971 Gold Demonstrator for sale near me.
It has to be a 59 and the serial # has to be in a fairly short range of numbers to be a true GD.
Not my ad, etc, etc.
