Engine swap

Ok, should be a simple straight forward question. I got a 9n with a bad motor, can I swap a 172 cubic inch motor from an 860 into it? Would it be a direct swap, or would I have to do a lot of fabrication?
Thanks

It's pretty much a lost cause.
They are totally different.
What's wrong with the 860?
That would be a much better tractor to put some money into.

Not going to bolt up, at the best some serious machine work making adapters. What happened to the 860, fixing that would give you live pto and hydraulics and be much better

That's one of those loaded questions. What are you looking to do? Its possibile if you're one of those people who like to engineer and fabricate solutions to problems that normal people avoid. As mentioned, it is not a bolt in solution. If you do manage it you'll have a more powerful 9n that is still only capable of 9n tasks and only worth $1000 or so.

Ok, thanks guys.
I found a n with a locked up motor, and a guy close to me is parting out an 860. So I thought hey, maybe the bolt patterns and clutch flywheel assembly would be close and maybe swap. Then I could have cute little running tractor to take to my local barnyard 2500 lbs class and play with, and maybe a parade tractor. In all reality I would love to have a 900 series. But funds don't support that dream. Thought this would be something I could work on in my spare time.
I wouldn't be afraid to try and adapt, but I'm not sure I have the skill and knowledge to build an adapter plate and clutch that would work the first time.
Thanks
I have a 1941 9N that we still use weekly in the summer to mow with, it has a woods L306 belly mower. It's now being used by a 4th generation mowing the farm stead.
