stuck 8N 4 sale

I'd say that's false advertising. The rod through the block DID a job. Maybe it was a tad eager, but a job well done in its eyes. A piece of tin and a bearing or two and she'll be right as rain. I think I'd overhaul that alt bracket.

" A piece of tin and a bearing or two and she'll be right as rain."

ahem. in the wise words of red green...

spare the duct tape, spoil the job.

From the looks of things, it comes with a chain across the tranny for hook up and the alternator bracket is air conditioned (see the holes in the weld ). It's always enjoyable to see adds like these, always good for a chuckle. Keith

Tires and wheels look good. Bumper on the front. Two bolt steering shouldn't it be with side mount distributor. Carb for Royce. Should part out for over $600??

I was intrested, until I clicked the "reply" and saw it was for springfield mo, not ohio. Worth it for sheet metal and tires, possibly a lot of other parts. Just not the alt bracket or engine

Too far away for me Roger but you're probably right.
If you had time to sit on the parts you'd make a few bucks.
Once you figure in labor to disassemble, storage, etc. it may
be only a few but, but still.

If a guy personally needed the parts for his projects or workers,
it might be a much cheaper way to go than buying parts seperately.

HFJ, a little duct tape to close the hole, some JB Weld to seal
it on there good, tack weld the rod back together, well, you
get the idea. Not going to happen in my shop though! LOL

At least it appears to be an honest ad. That's better than many are.

(quoted from post at 15:38:01 12/07/16) Rode hard and put away wet. Looks like it did not get a lot of care.

Probably just rebuilt by the same guy that fabricated the alternator bracket ;-)

TOH

Looks like the standard all thread angle iron bracket some folks around here are so proud of...
