There are a few things you do not seem to
understand.
The reason that the instructions on
polarizing the generator vary is because the
type of generator circuit determines how
it's polarized. ( see tip 23) If you do it
wrong, you can easily burn up a v/r. Before
you suggest that someone take your advice,
you should state what model tractor you
have. What worked for you could result in
the other guy burning up his v/r.
And the color of the wires is not relevant.
The armature wire from the generator goes to
the armature terminal on the v/r, etc, etc.
If it's red, green or purple, it does not
matter. If you have a red wire attached to
your generator armature, then attach the
other end of that same red wire to the
armature post on the v/,.
This isn't rocket science. Don't over-think
it.
