Re: Rare Dual Remote Hydraulics on a Jubilee picture

I got one just like it on my NAA. I think it is an Arps Valve. Here's a picture of my set up.

The poster below is looking for a dual remote (dual spool) valve for an NAA, though I was/am unaware that a dual spool valve was ever offered for an NAA. Hobo's valve is a single spool valve.

Thanks for all the nice pictures. They have been added to my files for future reference. I would like to update my Ford 600 to remote, for front snow plow project. This one might work, however I think me and my machine builder friend, cold build one for less $$$$. This one pictured, has the elbow outlets, where the standard seat goes, theby requiring seat spring modification, or update to type seat pictured. Here is a detailed picture of a Ford 600 Remote control assembly.

I have the modified seat that goes with mine,,, its a mess tho... The valve I have was used with a Arps dozer blade.... $500 sounds a tad high but I spec its what the market can stand,,, sure would love to put a knot on a guys head from Clyde, NY that went by the name Pete8N,,, he's a crook...

Single spool remote hydraulic valves to fit NAA tractors, though not common, are not what I would call rare.

I do not believe that dual remote (dual spool) remote valves to fit the NAA were ever offered.

Dean

are you talking about the one that mounts right under the right front corner of the seat with 1 control handel? i got one on my jube i dont use it if we're close i might trade but i understand that that thing has its own top cover too, in other words you have to change out the whole top cover to get the remote, others may know for sure

I have never seen a dual remote valve for use with an NAA and didn't know that any were made.

Would like to see the picture.

I have never seen one either. Quite a coincidence this thread got resurrected at the precise moment I was putting the finishing touches on this little gadget. It's a replacement for the accessory top cover and provides two ORB hydraulic ports for connecting remote hydraulic equipment. One is pressure out to your remote control valve (1,2, 3, or as many spools as you want) and the other is a Power Beyond return to the 3pt. I didn't try to include a tank return port - that will go straight to the sump filler if needed. This is the initial prototype and will be going to a gentleman who has an NAA and will test it for me. More film at a later date....

TOH

PS> Yes - that is indeed a boo-boo on the bottom o-ring port (damn power feed lever!!) and is surely going to leak like a sieve but before I make another I want to verify it fits on the tractor with out problems

I have planned on giving this a try for a while now but never got around to making one. As soon as I get the details worked out they will be available to anyone that want's one. Right now I have more work and backlogged orders than I can handle so it will be a while. I wouldn't have posted the pictures if that old thread hadn't reappeared.....

TOH,
good deal
No rush here, hopefully, me and my NAA's will be around a while.
Just one of those products...if I see one, I'd grab it. I know I'll need it sooner or later.
good luck on your projects.

ps I have one of the aftermarket hundred series similar blocks on a 960...works very well. Yours, for an NAA will probably sell well.

Please put me on the list of people who really want one . I
finally got my Jubilee up and running and would like to mount a
ford snow plow on the front that I found. My Email address is

Yes - this block is an unabashed rip-off of the HV4902 adapter for the Hundred/Thousand series. I guess there aren't enough customers for an NAA version to interest A&I. I am retired and just like to tinker so I don't need (or want) nearly as many ;-) I started out trying to sandwich it under the OEM cover like A&I did with the HV 4902 but the port geometry and location of the mounting bolt holes on the NAA makes it difficult to come out the side.

HV4902.jpg

I haven't completely given up on that idea but for a first cut all I was really trying to do was transfer and record the bolt hole and port dimensions from the OEM cover. Fortunately the NAA top cover is a lot simpler than the later one but it was still a tedious and time consuming bit of work. Now that I have a dimensioned drawing the next ones will be a lot quicker and easier.

Hello TOH!
I've been researching to find a new adapter plate for my '54 NAA since I accidentally lost my original one (see photos attached).

It appears that what I had exactly mimics what you are making with your machined version. I cannot find any info or part numbers that represents the Ford one that I had with all the ports for running extra valves. Do you know anything about it?
Unfortunately, you cannot quite make-out the part numbers from my photos, and now that the actual part is lost to the dump forever (tip: don't use your garbage can and a 2x6 as additional work area!), I won't be able to retrieve the part number.

So now I've been scouring the web and forums to find a replacement to get my tractor up-and-running again (I've been doing a full restoration).

Just looking for wisdom from the sages!

Not a lot of wisdom here but my final version looks an awful lot like what you had. I have more than one if you are interested. ;-)

Thanks TOH! That looks great! How much are you asking for your adapter plate version?

Also, do you know what the third boss on my original casting would have been used for? The other two bosses appear to be the same as what your design has (for the remote hydraulics). Is it some kind of testing port?

Assuming it works like the "normal" plate the third port is a tee into the lift circuit. It was used to operate a single acting cylinder using the 3pt control lever. You had to chain the lift down to use it. Your modified version and my plate let you tap into the pump flow ahead of the 3pt IN on the 3pt valve. You can put an open center valve in that loop and use it to control cylinders or motors indpendent of the 3pt.

I try not to sell on YT's site. It will go on my website in the near future but for now give me a call or email me for specifics. You won't have to sell your first born or mortgage the farm ;-)
