44 2N Axle/Bearing Assembly

Just pulled the 2N hubs off the 44 yesterday while cooking two birds. Found that the right wheel doesn't have any bearing. My assembly manual indicates that I need number 8 and 9 plus I'd like to add the sure seals. Am I right about that? Do I need anything else? Thanks, Rick

Are you sure that the missing parts are not still in the axle housing?

Rick,It looks like someone already put a sure seal in the right side and the bearing will be under the seal.Remove the seal and check the condition of the bearing,also check the left bearing.Use wheel bearing grease to pack the bearings and add new sure seals.

Looks like the one with the SS is LEAKING GREASE :shock: Whodatunk'it...

If you want a once and done job go after the original outer seals... That is were the leak is and a SS will never stop it. On the other hand just SS it and join the no brakes on a N club..
