8n 2 bolt steering

Changing out my 4 bolt with 2 bolt steering, after rebuild would stp or motor honey be good replacement instead of corn head grease? I could fill it with top end off of steering.

600W gear oil that was used on Model A transmissions and rear ends also works great.

My money would bet on Valvoline full synthetic gear oil or equivalent in a rebuilt steering gear box . The viscosity is not an issue unless you are leaking .

I am slowly coming along on a 8n total rebuild and will look into friction modifiers for the trans / hyd / rear end fluid . With today's knowledge on lubrication you should get a lifetime of service on a well maintained 8n.
