tire ballast, now sticky valve Murphy's Law

Forum Members,
Thanks for the replies on tire ballast. I will keep the tires as they are.
Second and more troublesome problem, I checked the cylinders for compression today and found only two have reasonable pressure. Talked to a mechanic today and he said to check the valves. I removed the covers and found the front and rear valves are sticking in the open position. Are there any least invasive ways to release these valves? Any and all suggestions are welcome!
Last problem so far is the carb is completely stuck at all pivot points. I removed the needles and am letting it soak in ATF for the night.
I do have an extra MS TSX 33 but am not sure it that will be enough for the 8N's larger engine. Again, any and all suggestions are welcome.

You have the covers off, so spray it all down with penetrating oil.
Your choice, ATF, PB Blaster, Kroil, etc. Let it soak a few days.
Dose it every day if you can. Maybe more if you walk by it.

I would also put some down the spark plug holes.
A cup or so each. I fill the cylinders where the valves are
closed, but you can't fill them with the valves open so you
will get some in the exhaust and/or carb.
Put the plugs back in at least loosely to keep gunk out.
Roll it over with the plugs out to blow out excess before trying
to start it. Yes, that makes a mess. Rags placed prior help.

A TSX-33 will work absolutely fine on an 8N.
Front mount or side mount. I run them on mine regularly.

If it were mine I would direct via straw thru spark plug hole
towards sticking valve and spray with PB Blaster and then very carefully
lever the valve up between the lifter and valve stem. Slow and easy with very little lifting.
I have got valves to free up by just going thru the spark plug hole with a "L" shaped tool
and lots of very light tapping. Repeat real easy on the tapping. You will probably have to repeat process numerous times.

My 8N has always had a valve sticking problem, usually after sitting a while. Modern fuel is not suited to long-term storage. I found using non-ethanol gas and adding Marvel Mystery Oil has pretty much eliminated the problem.
