OT -Glare from dash of car

All vehicles now have a 1/2 acre size dash making it near impossible to reach the inside of the winshield for cleaning--#2 problem is sun glare from the old big dash---what can be put on the dash or what can it be covered with to help with the glare?? Thanks for any thoughts and suggestions..

Dust will take care of it, just wait! LOL
Obviously I'm kidding. I would think that dull, soft matting that
is used to line tool box drawers might work. It could be cut to
shape, removed to clean and it is soft enough to mold into place.

There used to be a carpet type pad that was custom made/ordered available from JCWitney and SummitRacing.

Got that problem in the F150 and the Chevy. Solved it buy laying a hand towel on the dash. Made a big difference.Dark color works best. Good Luck.

Don't have the problem, but, IIRC, Armorall used to sell a spray for that purpose. Rather than shiny - flat finish. HTH

In the seventies we used Burnt Orange shag carpeting. Floors, walls, dash, ceiling. Van, bedroom, bathroom, everywhere!

Hmmm yea I think so--with my eye condition the brighter the sun the more problem I have--
then glare off of the dash sure don't help..I say I am a gloomy person who likes gloomy
days..Overcast or cloudy days--even clouds with showers are all my friends..

Nice--yea, then I could hang an air freshener and another thing or two on the rear view mirror and put the little dog with bobbing head on the back glass shelf and I would be good to go..Problem solved--Thanks

dash mat makes nice covers for nearly all vehicles now, all 9 of our private vehicles have one for just that reason

for you --had major eye problems all my life--certain things just can't be tolerated and
mess with what limited useful vision that I do have left..

Polarized sunglasses solve many of the dash reflection problems. They can be the $10 or the $200 pair, take your pick.
The down side is that many electronic devices have polarized screens so that sometimes, when they are lined up, the screen looks black. Tilt your head or the screen to un-line them and make it visible again.
